This past Saturday a 30 lb. dog was attacked by a mountain lion. A man was hiking Tail Pipe Trail and his unleashed dog was ahead of him. When he called it back the attack occurred. It suffered some scratches, but is alright. Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the BLM are aware of the situation and a sign or signs are posted at the base area.
