That’s right folks! Winter may be upon us, but we’ve got our sights set on the 11th Original Growler.
Brought to you by Gunnison Trails, presented by Ergon and powered by SRAM. The Original Growler is the primary fundraiser for Gunnison Trails, a Colorado 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Gunnison Trails is dedicated to maintaining and expanding the singletrack experience in the Gunnison area. We’re hard at work on development of new trails in the Signal Peak area, and we continue to advocate for the Gunnison to Crested Butte trail. All proceeds from the Original Growler benefit Gunnison Trails.

- CLOCKWISE FOR THE WIN – Up until now, the Growler course has always switched directions each year. With the addition of the the new Graceland trails (which your entry fees helped to build), we think we’ve hit on a winning formula with a clock-wise course. Perhaps we’ll switch things up un a few years, but for 2018, we’ll be racing clockwise. Check out the map HERE.
- KIDS RACES – 2017 was the first year we held a kid’s race, and the feedback was nothing short of amazing. Join Crested Butte Devo for the Original Growler Kid’s Race, held on Saturday, May 26 at the Hartman’s base area. From striders to solid climbers and descenders who are not quite ready for the Half Growler, we have the youngsters covered.
- When our good friend and trail volunteer extraordinaire, Steve Ogden, approached us about doing a film short on the Growler, we had no idea the skills he had as a videographer…nor did we have any idea he had bigger plans. Steve ended up making a short documentary on Hartman Rocks, the history of Gunnison Trails and the Growler, and captured what it is that drives our club. Enjoy this short section from Steve’s film, and stay tuned for more segments to be released on our Growler website…
