REMINDER: Gunnison’s Hartman Rocks Area is Closed to Mountain Bikes and Motorized Use

Reminder: The Hartman Rocks area is currently closed to mountain bikes and all motorized use due to snowy and muddy conditions

This is standard procedure for the area each spring

April 8, 2017 – Hartman Rocks Recreation Area is closed to mountain bikes and all motorized use due to snow and mud. This is the standard spring closure that protects the trails and roads. Our friends at the BLM monitor the area consistently and are great about opening the areas north of the power lines as soon as conditions allow.
