Join us this Tuesday, 6/28, from 4-7pm to continue work along Sunny D. Currently, Sunny D is open as an OUT AND BACK only! You’re welcome to check out the new goods, but please turn around when you get to the lower sign (below) and climb back up the trail the way you came.
Directions – take highway 50 east for 3.75 miles and turn LEFT onto BLM 3211D (there will be a bright yellow TRAILWORK sign on the left side of the highway). The turn is just across from AM Salvage Barnwood, the timber-framing business. After turning off Highway 50, take a left through a green BLM gate (make sure to close the gate behind you), and drive another .5 miles up BLM 3211d. At the top of the hill, turn left at the powerline road, descend a steep hill and then climb an equally steep hill across the valley and you’re there. 4WD is highly recommended. We encourage you to carpool or ride to the workday to keep traffic and impacts to a minimum. Email [email protected] to grab a ride.
As always, bring plenty of water, sunscreen, rainwear and sturdy shoes or boots. We’ll work until 7pm and then relax with a BBQ and cold bevies thanks to our friends at High Alpine Brewing Company.
