Join us from 4-7pm this Tuesday, August 10th, as we repair sections of the South Rim trail up in Signal Peak. The recent rains caused large sections of the south facing hillside to run with mud and rock, covering parts of the trail. We’ll be meeting at the cattle trough off BLM 3211B. To get there, take BLM Rd. 3123 out of Tomichi Heights neighborhood (the road that Chicken Wing and Duane’s World finish on) for 2.4 miles, then turn right on BLM 3211B. This road climbs and descends several steep gullies before you reach the cattle trough. We’ll be working the section of South Rim between Shoelace and Music Rocks, beginning on the western end towards Shoelace. If you arrive after 4pm, sign the waiver and grab a tool or two from the back of the truck (hoe, rake or shovel) and head up west along South Rim to find us. As always, we’ll be grilling and enjoying a few pints from our friends at High Alpine Brewing Company after the work.
