We’ll park and stage at the fence/cattle guard between Luge Trail and Gateway’s eastern trailhead. This place is sort of off of the beaten path. Contact us if you need better directions. From there, we can work Gateway and/or upper Josie’s depending on our numbers. If you come late, look for tools. If there are none, we have them up the trail.
Gateway in particular, needs a few drains cleaned out and some shortcutting addressed. Three major rock problems and “ride arounds” on these trails may be addressed depending on BLM involvement. Ride arounds will certainly be discussed as this is a prevelent topic right now.
Please have sturdy, closed toe shoes, long pants, long shirt, hat and water. Additional water and snacks will be provided.
