Trails in the southern and eastern portion of the Signal Peak system officially open to bikes May 1, AFTER 10am (all trail users are asked to avoid recreating before 10am until May 15 to help protect the Gunnison Sage grouse). Trails include the entirety of the Contour trail, Duane’s World, South Rim, Good Tree, Music Rocks, Northwoods and Sunny D. Trail users can access the upper system trails via the Contour trail or Canal trail to Duane’s World or from BLM Road 3122. All roads in the Signal Peak area remain closed to motorized use until May 15, and trails in the northwest portion of Signal (Ridgeline past the second radio tower, Upper Rasta, Chicken Wing, and Shoelace) remain CLOSED TO ALL USES until May 15.
