Mountain Flyer Magazine, in partnership with Gunnison Trails and the I Bar Ranch are excited to announce FLOW STATE GUNNISON, The Colorado Mountain Bike Festival taking place Memorial Day Weekend 2022, Friday May 27 through Monday, May 30.

FLOW STATE is a three-plus-day celebration of all things mountain biking. Campers and visitors will be based out of the expansive I Bar Ranch which is directly across Highway 50 from the Signal Peak trail network and a short drive to the iconic Hartman Rocks system. FLOW STATE will feature product demos, guided rides and clinics as well as camping, food trucks and beer, live music and more. FLOW STATE GUNNISON will also run in congress with Gunnison Trails’ Growler Mountain Bike Race so families and racers can come and camp in a kid-friendly, festival setting.

“We’re excited to partner with Mountain Flyer to bring FLOW STATE to Gunnison in 2022,” says Gunnison Trails Executive Director Tim Kugler. “With two trail systems and over 60 miles of world-class singletrack accessible right from downtown, Gunnison is the perfect venue to host this party on two wheels. From the technical, granite slab trails at Hartman Rocks to the flowy, cross-country trails in Signal Peak, we have trails to suit every rider level.”

“After last year’s inaugural FLOW STATE in Vermont, we’re thrilled to offer our community two festivals this year,” says John Costello, Mountain Flyer events manager. “Gunnison has some of the most unique and expansive riding in Colorado and the I Bar is the perfect venue for music, camping and demos.”

Proceeds from FLOW STATE will go to Gunnison Trails to help keep their network dialed.

“The festival directly supports the trail building and maintenance efforts of Gunnison Trails, ” Kugler adds. Gunnison Trails is a non-profit trail-advocacy organization dedicated to improving the trail experience throughout Gunnison County.

FLOW STATE organizers are formalizing plans, bands, bike vendors, food trucks and sponsors for the Memorial Day gathering in Gunnison. Early festival pass sales will be available to select markets on March 1. All tickets and camping passes will go on sale March 8.

Additionally, the original FLOW STATE ASCUTNEY will return to Vermont, July 29-31, 2022. Stay tuned for more details on both festivals and we hope to ride with you in the Highest State or the greenest one!
